In September, Class 9D students were organized into groups and tasked with creating English textbooks for
their grade. They began by analyzing CBSE and private publisher texts alongside their own course books,
preparing a master questionnaire to identify desirable features. From September to December, during double
English periods, they conducted systematic analysis, explored Bloom’s Taxonomy, NCERT guidelines, and
maintained buddy journals to record reflections. Based on these insights, each group drafted rationales and
began designing textbooks over the winter break, incorporating original compositions.
By January, the books underwent proofreading, peer review, and cross-feedback sessions with Class 8D.
Representatives from 9D engaged directly with juniors to refine their work further. The process culminated
in six complete textbooks featuring QR codes, clear learning outcomes, and student-written content. This
project highlighted creativity, collaboration, and academic rigor, resulting in professional-quality textbooks
that reflect thoughtful design and innovative learning tools.
The school commends Class 9D for their initiative and celebrates this milestone in student-led learning. In
recognition of their achievement, the students were felicitated in a special assembly, where their efforts were
acknowledged and applauded.
