Triumphant Dribblers

Our Under-19 boys' basketball team secured first place in the zonal tournament on August 30-31, 2024, at ITL Public School, Dwarka. The team showcased exceptional skill and coordination, winning a series of dominant matches. In the finals, they faced GD Goenka Public School and emerged victorious through focused and strategic play. This achievement highlights our team's talent and hard work, bringing pride to our school and setting a high standard for future competitions. We celebrate this success with great pride.

    Reyan Bag Shines with Bronze at Inline Skating Championship

    Reyan Bag from Class 2D has achieved a remarkable feat by clinching the bronze medal in the fiercely competitive Inline Skating category (Under 7 years) at the Open Inter School Roller Championship 2024. This prestigious event took place on September 1, 2024, at IGI College, Vikas Puri, New Delhi, where Reyan proudly secured 3rd place.

        Youth Unite: Changing the face of Earth one challenge at a time"
        Eight students from OPG World School from years 7 and 8 ( Irene Libsh Abraham, Ojasveer Singh Sidhu, Shreye Mani, Darshan, Vedanti Pragya, Zyanna Pillai, Vihan Chaturvedi, Devansh Sharma, and Reyaansh Leekha) recently participated in an online Global Youth Forum aided by the Victorian State Government, Australia,  discussing UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The final session on 31 August 2024 concluded with the students presenting their ideas to combat SDGs 6,10 and 13 by identifying the existing school based challenges. They suggested a vertical garden ( Water’s Vertical Waltz ) and a peer mentoring system (BuddyUp) as their prototypes in front of schools from Shanghai, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea, and Australia. The forum empowered young minds to contribute to global sustainability, fostering a sense of global citizenship and encouraging students to act locally and think globally!

          Digital Dynamos

          Students of OPG World School excelled at Army Public School's Techfest, showcasing their exceptional talent and skills. Sumedha Vashisht and Naman Anand (Class 11) won first position in Visionary Voices, a movie-making competition, while Siddhi Shinde and Siddhant Shinde (Class 7) secured third position in Digital Tale Trek - Scratch coding competition, demonstrating their creativity, storytelling, and coding skills.

              Excursion Trip to the National Museum

              On 31st August 2024, Grade 6 and Grade 12 students enjoyed an enriching visit to the National Museum. The trip was designed to deepen their understanding of the Harappan civilization. It began with an engaging session led by expert tour guides who shared insights into the Harappan era. The day continued with a documentary on the same topic. This excursion offered a perfect mix of learning and enjoyment. Both grades explored artifacts, interacted with experts, and utilized multimedia resources, gaining valuable knowledge about ancient Indian history.

                Entry into ICode National Finals

                OPG World School is proud to announce that Yajas Gupta (class V), Yojit Misra (Class V), Siddhant Shinde (Class VII) and Devansh Sharma (Class VII) have excelled in the ICode India Zonal Finals!

                Yajas and Yojit received the impressive ranks of 15 and 19 respectively in the North Zone for the Blockly Advance Category. Meanwhile, Siddhant and Devansh secured ranks 35 and 42 respectively in the Python Beginner Category. Their outstanding performance has earned them a coveted spot in the prestigious India National Finals, scheduled for September 21, 2024.

                We eagerly look forward to witnessing their exceptional coding skills and dedication during this exciting event. Best wishes to them for their continued success!
