Investiture Ceremony -2026

The Investiture Ceremony of OPG World School for the academic session 2026–27 was held on 6th July with solemnity and pride. The programme began by honoring the message of the school’s founder Late Shri Satish Chandra, followed by the lamp lighting conducted by the Principal, Ms Namrata Datta, along with the former Head Boy, Head Girl, and Deputy Head Girl.

The chairperson of the school, Ms Sonica Chandra graced the occasion with her presence. . A special highlight of the ceremony was the involvement of parents, who escorted their children to the stage as they were formally invested with their new responsibilities. The newly elected student council members, entrusted with roles from Public Speaking and Debate Society Head to Student Conflict Management Team, as well as Primary Wing Prefects. The student council members for the session were conferred badges by former members, marking the passing of responsibility.

The Head Boy for the session is Ronit Mathur, and the Head Girl is Rakshita Aravind. The ceremony concluded with the candle ceremony, symbolizing honesty, integrity, and other virtues. The event was a success, instilling responsibility and commitment in the students for the academic year ahead.

    Inquiry-Based Learning Workshop – 29 June 2026

     

    On 29 June 2026, an insightful workshop on inquiry-based learning was conducted by Ms. Jyoti Kanwar, an experienced educator and CBSE resource person. Ms. Kanwar, who has served as a principal, teacher, and counselor, guided teachers of grades 1 through 12 through a meticulous, hands-on approach. The workshop incorporated methods such as the KWL and HAQ techniques, along with other strategies to foster curiosity and critical thinking. Educators engaged in practical activities to deepen their understanding of pedagogy, ensuring the concepts were both theoretically sound and applicable in the classroom.

      Outstanding Performance at National and Asian Tennis Championships

       

      OPG World School proudly congratulates Divyam Gupta of Class X-C on his remarkable achievements in tennis. Divyam won the Singles Title at the AITA (All India Tennis Association) Under-16 Championship Series-7 National Tennis Tournament held in Delhi. He also represented the school at the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) U16 Tournaments held in Vietnam from 15–19 June and 22–26 June 2026. Competing against top players from across Asia, Divyam secured an impressive 9th position in the first week and 10th position in the second week tournament.

        A Glimpse into the Summer Journalism Programme


        Tashi Gangwani of Grade VIII Vayu participated in the Summer Journalism Programme organised by The Times of India NIE. Through interactive sessions, newsroom activities, and a visit to the Times of India Press, she gained valuable insights into news writing, newspaper production, and editorial decision-making, enriching her understanding of the world of journalism.

          Young Achiever Shines Bright


          Class IV-Jal student, Hanvi, has made the school proud by securing the position of 2nd Runner-Up at the Mastermind Abacus National Gala 2026, held in June 2026. Competing in the Level 3 (Age 6–9) category against participants from across the nation, she was also awarded a trophy by her institute in recognition of this outstanding achievement.
          A talent that extends well beyond numbers, Hanvi also participated in Yoga and Cultural Programmes, earning shields and certificates for her excellent performances. Her dedication and all-round enthusiasm make her a true inspiration to her peers. The school warmly congratulates Hanvi on her remarkable achievement.
