    Brushstrokes of Genius: Students Explore the World of Tyeb Mehta

    On 19 February, 32 students from Classes VI–XI visited the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art to experience an exhibition of the celebrated painter, sculptor, and filmmaker Tyeb Mehta. Through an engaging guided walkthrough, students gained rich insights into his distinctive style and artistic vision. Immersed in modern art, they explored creativity with curiosity and enthusiasm. The visit culminated in a hands-on paper-clay sculpture activity, leaving students inspired, fulfilled, and enriched with unforgettable artistic impressions.

      Golden Kick: Advik Negi Shines at Winter Cup Championship

      Advik Negi of Class II-E has brought immense by winning a Gold Medal at the 14th Winter Cup Taekwondo Championship. The prestigious tournament, organised by the Central District Taekwondo Association, was held on 15 February 2026 and witnessed spirited participation from young athletes. Displaying remarkable agility, confidence, and determination beyond his years, Advik outperformed his competitors to secure the top podium position. His achievement reflects dedication, discipline, and true sporting spirit.

        Achievement in French Language Proficiency

         

        OPG World School proudly congratulates Adarsh Srivastava of Class XI D for successfully clearing the Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française (DELF) Junior B1 level in the French language.
        The DELF is an internationally recognised certification awarded by the French Ministry of Education, assessing a learner’s proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Adarsh’s accomplishment reflects his dedication, strong communication skills, and enthusiasm for learning foreign languages.           A Day of Adventure and Discovery at Rocksport, Sonipat

          On February 16, 2026, students from Grades III to V embarked on an exhilarating excursion to Rocksport, Sonipat, for a day filled with adventure, learning, and fun. Guided by expert instructors, the students participated in a variety of activities, including the Burma Bridge, Zip Line, Hopscotch, Hamster Wheel, Magical Maze, Tug of War, Commando Net, and Commando Bridge. The addition of a tractor ride and pottery sessions provided a unique rural adventure element to the day. The experience concluded with a high-energy dance session that left the entire group vibrant and smiling. Overall, the excursion was a memorable experience, leaving students with happy memories, stronger friendships, and valuable life lessons.

            War of Words Inter-House Debate Competition: Showcasing Confidence, Clarity, and Critical Thinking

            On 13th February 2026, students from Grades IV and V participated enthusiastically in the ‘War of Words’ Inter-House Debate Competition, confidently showcasing their ideas and speaking skills. The event began with Yunay Arya (V E) and Rushika Bhatia (V A), who shared valuable debating tips they had learned at the IIT Delhi Debating Bootcamp. Grade IV students presented well‑reasoned arguments on “Learning through videos is better than learning through books,” while Grade V participants engaged in a thoughtful debate on “Hard work plays a greater role than luck in achieving success in life,” supporting their views with real‑life examples. The competition provided a meaningful platform for students to develop critical thinking, logical reasoning, and public speaking skills, while leaving the audience impressed by their confidence and clarity of expression.

              English Textbook Creation Project

              In September, Class 9D students were organized into groups and tasked with creating English textbooks for
              their grade. They began by analyzing CBSE and private publisher texts alongside their own course books,
              preparing a master questionnaire to identify desirable features. From September to December, during double
              English periods, they conducted systematic analysis, explored Bloom’s Taxonomy, NCERT guidelines, and
              maintained buddy journals to record reflections. Based on these insights, each group drafted rationales and
              began designing textbooks over the winter break, incorporating original compositions.
              By January, the books underwent proofreading, peer review, and cross-feedback sessions with Class 8D.
              Representatives from 9D engaged directly with juniors to refine their work further. The process culminated
              in six complete textbooks featuring QR codes, clear learning outcomes, and student-written content. This
              project highlighted creativity, collaboration, and academic rigor, resulting in professional-quality textbooks
              that reflect thoughtful design and innovative learning tools.
              The school commends Class 9D for their initiative and celebrates this milestone in student-led learning. In
              recognition of their achievement, the students were felicitated in a special assembly, where their efforts were
              acknowledged and applauded.

                Abhiman’s Language Game – The Bowl

                During the Reading and Writing Club, students sought engaging activities, inspiring creative language games. Abhiman of Class IX‑D designed The Bowl, blending vocabulary tasks with playful formats like paper pastas and sushi cards. Roles, dice rolls, and levels added challenge. His dedication ensured durability and reusability. Felicitated in assembly, Abhiman’s innovation exemplified student‑led creativity and collaboration.

Experts from leading Indian and Russian institutions discussed types of Artificial Intelligence, its applications, and ongoing academic collaborations. The programme provided students with valuable exposure to emerging technologies and global research.

                            Educational Visit to the National Museum

                            The students of Class XI Humanities visited the National Museum on 31 January as part of an educational tour. The visit proved to be an enriching experience, as the students were mesmerised by the exhibits showcasing India’s rich historical and cultural heritage.

                            The displays helped them establish a meaningful connection with topics studied in their history lessons. The students showed keen interest and curiosity, asking several insightful questions that were answered during the visit. Such educational excursions provide valuable experiential learning, deepen understanding beyond textbooks, and inspire pride in India’s cultural heritage.
