Valorant Victory for OPG

Saksham Gauniyal (XII Sci), Rudransh Tiwari (XII Commerce), Keerat Singh Bhatti (XII Commerce), Yash Negi (XI Humanities), and Arush Joshi (XI-A) represented OPG World School at the Valorant tournament hosted by Mt. Carmel and clinched an impressive 3rd place!

Their teamwork, strategy, and determination stood out as they battled tough opponents with confidence. From sharp execution to smart plays, each player brought their best to the game and made OPG proud on the big stage!

      Bastille Day Celebrations at OPG World School

      OPG World School marked Bastille Day with a vibrant week-long celebration for students of Grades VI to X, integrating culture, creativity, and sustainability. Highlights included a short film on the French Revolution, eco-friendly bookmark making, an Inter-House French Poetry Recitation, and thematic display boards crafted from recycled materials. The celebrations concluded with a special assembly and a poignant French song, reflecting themes of peace and unity.

        United in Legacy: Student Visit to Mandela Katha Mala

        On July 18th, ten students from Classes 9 to 12 attended the Nelson Mandela Kathamala event at India International Centre, New Delhi, held to honor Mandela’s legacy as a leader of justice and unity.

        The attending students included Zyana Thakur, Anushka Sinha, KMVS Prabhakar, and Nathaniel Thomas from Class 9; Anaisha Bhushan from Class 10; Rajini Upreti, Hritvi Rajpal, and Inayat Arora from Class 11; and Divyam Gupta and Bhavya Sharma from Class 12.

        The program featured performances by various schools, followed by a short parade that fostered pride and a shared sense of purpose among participants. Students were then inspired by speeches from Brigadier General Kevin Moonsamy and a UN representative, whose words resonated deeply.

        During the interactive session, student representatives shared their views and experiences. After the award ceremony, students had the special opportunity to engage directly with the distinguished guests.

        The visit was insightful, inspiring, and truly memorable.

          OPG World School Invests New Student Council

          OPG World School held its Investiture Ceremony 2025–26 with pride and solemnity. The event began with lamp lighting in memory of the founder, Late Shri Satish Chandra. Bhavya Sharma and Tanmay Chopra were appointed Head Girl and Head Boy, along with a full council of prefects and captains. A symbolic candle-lighting marked the passing of leadership. The Principal encouraged the young leaders to serve with integrity, compassion, and commitment to the school’s core values.

            Arpit Yadav Represents School at GPCSSI 2025

            We proudly congratulate our student, Arpit Yadav (Class IX) for representing the school at the prestigious Gurugram Police Cyber Security Summer Internship (GPCSSI 2025). Under the guidance of Dr. Rakshit Tandon and ACP Priyanshu Devan, participants explored cybercrime investigation, ethical hacking, and digital forensics. The program featured experts from I4C, Interpol, and RAW, offering global insights. This hands-on experience, that spanned a week, cultivated technical skills, ethical values, and inspired future cyber defenders in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

              Future Forward: Empowering Career Choices

              OPG World School celebrated Career Counseling Week (14th–18th July 2025), guiding Grades X–XII towards informed career choices. On 15th July, Ms. Suman Batra introduced careers in data science, law, medicine, and event management, emphasizing internships, goal-setting, and exams like IPMAT and CUET. On 17th July, Mr. Praveen Khanna from Pratham TestPrep inspired entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and leadership. Throughout the week, counselors offered personalized support, helping students align their interests with future-ready academic and professional goals.

                Teens Dive Into the Future at TOI’s AI Summer Masterclass

                Tanmay Chopra (Class 12) and Aaryan Yadav (Class 11) were among the participants of the 10-day AI Summer Masterclass organised by The Times of India. Hosted by UX designer and AI educator Ansh Mehra, the sessions provided hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Runway, Higgsfield, Loom, Lovable, ElevenLabs, and HeyGen. The masterclass demystified generative AI’s impact on industries—showing how it enhances content creation, marketing, education, and design. Students crafted voice-narrated videos with avatar platforms and learned multimodal integration, ethical tech use, and prompt engineering. The initiative empowered them to become confident creators and responsible innovators in a rapidly transforming digital landscape.

                  Tree Plantation Drive by Interact Club

                  On 4th July 2025, students participated in a Tree Plantation Drive organized by the Interact Club within the school campus. The activity aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable living. Students planted saplings, pledged to care for them, and learned about their importance. The event instilled a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and care for nature, making it a small yet impactful step towards a greener future.

                    Student Council Empowers Leadership at Engaging Workshop

                    On 30th June, the Student Council participated in an inspiring leadership workshop aimed at enhancing confidence, teamwork, and decision-making skills. Through interactive sessions, group tasks, and reflective activities, students explored key leadership values. A major highlight was a school event planning simulation involving SWOT analysis and action planning. The workshop encouraged inclusive thinking, ethical leadership, and personal growth. It reinforced that leadership is not just a title, but a responsibility to lead with purpose and make a difference.

                      OPG World School Among Top 10 Green Schools in Dwarka

                      OPG World School was honoured to be selected among the Top 10 Green Schools in Dwarka by the Green Circle, Dwarka Chapter. The recognition came after a detailed evaluation process, including on-site verification.
                      This achievement reflects the school’s strong commitment to environmental sustainability and green practices. The award was presented at a special ceremony held in November 2024.
