On July 18th, ten students from Classes 9 to 12 attended the Nelson Mandela Kathamala event at India International Centre, New Delhi, held to honor Mandela’s legacy as a leader of justice and unity.
The attending students included Zyana Thakur, Anushka Sinha, KMVS Prabhakar, and Nathaniel Thomas from Class 9; Anaisha Bhushan from Class 10; Rajini Upreti, Hritvi Rajpal, and Inayat Arora from Class 11; and Divyam Gupta and Bhavya Sharma from Class 12.
The program featured performances by various schools, followed by a short parade that fostered pride and a shared sense of purpose among participants. Students were then inspired by speeches from Brigadier General Kevin Moonsamy and a UN representative, whose words resonated deeply.
During the interactive session, student representatives shared their views and experiences. After the award ceremony, students had the special opportunity to engage directly with the distinguished guests.
The visit was insightful, inspiring, and truly memorable.
