Saisha Chauhan Wins Gold Medal in Taekwondo Championship


Saisha Chauhan a student of OPG World School class 5  has brought pride by winning a gold medal in the Sub-Junior category (24 kg) at the 15th Central District Taekwondo Championship. The  championship was held on 26 July 2026 at Kant Darshan Public School, Nangli Sakrawati, New Delhi. Saisha displayed remarkable skill. She displayed confidence, agility, and determination throughout the competition. Her outstanding performance earned her the top position and reflected her dedication, disciplined training, and strong sporting spirit.

    Reyan Bag of Class IV – Prithvi has brought pride to OPG School by winning a Bronze medal in the 1 Lap Road Inline Skating event (Under‑11 category) at the CBSE Central Zone Championship 2026, held on 27th August at GR International School, Bawana. His success reflects dedication and perseverance.

      From Classrooms to Genomes: A Day at CSIR–IGIB


      On 7 August 2026, Grades XI and XII students visited CSIR–IGIB for an enriching academic experience. They explored Sickle Cell Anaemia, antigen–antibody interactions, FACS and genome sequencing. Interactive sessions on DNA fingerprinting and cell biology, along with inspiring interactions with scientists, offered valuable insights into cutting-edge research and careers in genomics, biotechnology and biomedical sciences.

        Golden Sprint: Aryan Pati Crowned Champion at Delhi State Athletics

         

        Aryan Pati of Class V JAL delivered a stellar performance to secure the 1st position in the 60-metre race at the recently concluded 1st Delhi State Kids Athletics Championship.

        Demonstrating exceptional speed, agility, and fierce determination on the track, Aryan outpaced a highly competitive field of young athletes to clinch the gold medal. This remarkable achievement brings immense pride to the school community and reflects his dedication to sportsmanship and athletic excellence.

          Beyond the Buzz: Exploring the Science of Malaria


          On 11th August 2026, students of Classes X-XII visited the ICMR–National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) for the launch of the SHINE Portal. The visit offered an insightful glimpse into the world of scientific research on vector-borne diseases. Students explored interactive exhibits showcasing various diseases, their causative agents, vectors, modes of transmission, prevention strategies, and public health interventions. Engaging with scientists and researchers helped students appreciate the importance of epidemiology, entomology, biomedical research, and community awareness in disease prevention. The visit encouraged students to look beyond textbooks and understand how scientific knowledge can translate into meaningful solutions for society.

            Aahana Skates to Double Gold and National Glory

             

            Aahana of Class III Prithvi brought laurels to OPG World School by securing two Gold Medals at the CBSE Central Zone Skating Championship in the Under-9 Girls Inline Skating category. She emerged victorious in both the 300 Metre Time Trial and 1 Lap Road Race. Her impressive performance has earned her qualification to represent OPG World School at the CBSE National Games/Championship, scheduled to be held in Belagavi, Karnataka, in November 2026. Her remarkable timing in the 300 Metre Time Trial has been recognised as a strong State/Zonal-level performance. Aahana’s achievement reflects her dedication, determination, and sporting excellence.
