On 11th August 2026, students of Classes X-XII visited the ICMR–National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) for the launch of the SHINE Portal. The visit offered an insightful glimpse into the world of scientific research on vector-borne diseases. Students explored interactive exhibits showcasing various diseases, their causative agents, vectors, modes of transmission, prevention strategies, and public health interventions. Engaging with scientists and researchers helped students appreciate the importance of epidemiology, entomology, biomedical research, and community awareness in disease prevention. The visit encouraged students to look beyond textbooks and understand how scientific knowledge can translate into meaningful solutions for society.
