OPG World School Dwarka Excels in Panthers Football Championship: Students Shine in Sportsmanship

OPG World School Dwarka made a notable mark at the Panthers Football Championship hosted at The British School, Chanakyapuri. Despite fierce competition, the team's remarkable skill and cohesive teamwork secured them the 3rd position, reflecting the dedication and training of the students, alongside the support from the coaching staff and school community. Additionally, Tarun Sharma from Class 7 D and Yuvraj Singh Phogat from Class 6B were honored with the Best Sportsmanship Award for their exemplary behavior both on and off the field. Their conduct epitomizes the values of integrity, respect, and fair play instilled at OPG World School Dwarka. This achievement not only highlights the athletic prowess of the school but also emphasizes the importance of character-building and sportsmanship.     With great pleasure, the outstanding achievement of Prativ Sharma, a student in KG-A, is announced, as he has once again showcased his remarkable talent by clinching his second Gold Medal in the Adjustable Skate (Under 5) category at the 5th Inter School Promotional Roller Skating Championship. This remarkable feat occurred on April 26, 2024, at the DDA Sports Complex in Sector 17, Dwarka. Prativ received well-deserved recognition and a certificate from OPG World School.

      Remembering Rwanda: Students Unite for #Kwibuka30 in Delhi

      Over 200 students from 26 schools converge at India International Centre to commemorate 30 years since the genocide against the Tutsis. Hosted by @RwandaInIndia and @UNICDELHI, the event features artworks, performances, and poignant speeches. High Commissioner Ma'am Jacqueline Mukangira shares touching reflections, while Darrin Farrant, Director of UN Information Centre, New Delhi, delivers a message from the UN Secretary General.         Students Prepare for Future with CUET Workshop

        On April 18, 2024, students of grades XI and XII of OPG World School attended a workshop titled “Decoding CUET and Careers after grade XII.” The event, led by an expert from PRATHAM, aimed to demystify the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) and highlight various career paths. Attendees gained insights into CUET prerequisites, competitive exam strategies, and diverse career options. The informative session also provided a platform for students to clarify doubts regarding their academic future.

            Triumphant Performance

            Recently, Prativ Sharma from KG-A  achieved a remarkable victory in the 1st Manomay Inter School Roller Skating Championship. Competing in the Adjustable Skate (Under 5) category, he clinched the Gold Medal. The school, appreciating his tremendous hard work, honored him with a felicitation and a certificate for his outstanding performance.               Empowering Tomorrow: OPG World School Engages Students in Sustainable Development Goals

              On April 12, 2024, OPG World School hosted "GIFT - Global Impact for Tomorrow," a presentation for classes VII-VIII on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Mr. Dilip Kumar Sharma, Chief Mentor, detailed a project-based learning program integrating SDGs and the National Education Policy. Students engaged in clarifying questions, embracing their roles as ambassadors for sustainable living. The session emphasized the urgent global call to action for achieving the 17 SDGs, ensuring a prosperous and peaceful future for all.

                  Visit by a nutritionist and dentist

                  True health is the wealth of life's journey, a treasure that enriches every step we take. As part of Health Week activities, students from both Class IV and V had the opportunity to delve into the realms of oral health and nutrition. A visit by a Dentist and a Nutritionist were organized, enlightening the students with valuable insights. The Dentist engaged the students of Class 4 with a comprehensive session on oral hygiene. She discussed the anatomy of teeth, common dental ailments like tooth decay and plaque, and emphasized the importance of regular brushing and flossing. The Nutritionist, addressed the students of Class V, focusing on the significance of healthy eating habits. He highlighted the adverse effects of consuming junk food and the benefits of opting for homemade meals and fruits. Both sessions were interactive, with students actively participating and seeking clarification on various aspects of oral health and nutrition. The visits not only increased awareness but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards maintaining good health.
