German Week Celebrations

Students of Classes VI–X enthusiastically celebrated German Week from 21–31 July through a vibrant array of creative and interactive activities. They prepared informative Fact Cards on German-speaking countries, participated in an engaging Quiz on Germany, and showcased their linguistic skills in a challenging German Spell Bee. The creative “Build a Brand” activity further encouraged students to combine innovation with effective communication through posters and presentations. The celebrations enriched their understanding of German language and culture while strengthening research, teamwork, creativity, communication, and presentation skills.

    Yohan Jacob Shines at IGU North Zone Junior Feeder Tour 2026

    Yohan Jacob of Class VIII Vayu has done OPG World School proud by securing an impressive second place in Category C at the IGU 7th North Zone Junior Feeder Tour 2026.

    ​Competing against top young golfers from across the region, Yohan showed great focus, skill, and composure throughout the tournament. This achievement reflects his hard work and dedication to the sport.

    ​The school warmly congratulates Yohan on his success and wishes him the very best for his future tournaments.

      French Week: Language, Culture and Creative Expression

      The French Department conducted French Week from 27st to 31st July 2026 for Grades VI–X, providing students with diverse opportunities to engage with the French language and culture. The activities included creating colour-themed envelopes, poetry recitation, designing brochures on French regions, storytelling with props, and developing original French brands. Each activity encouraged students to apply their language skills in creative and meaningful ways. The week successfully strengthened communication, presentation, and creative abilities while promoting cultural awareness and environmental consciousness among learners.

        80 Years of Independence: Freedom, Legacy and the India of Tomorrow

         

        OPG World School celebrated the 80th Independence Day with immense pride and patriotic fervour. The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag by Mr. Kishore Kumar Rewala, Assistant Commissioner of Police, District Dwarka, who also addressed the gathering. The cultural programme celebrated India’s freedom struggle, heritage, and the responsibilities of its youth through patriotic music, a Hindi speech, and classical dance. The highlight was Kalam, Kalakothari aur Kranti, portraying the ideals of Bhagat Singh and Mahatma Gandhi through theatre, dance, and music, featuring Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna, Bekhauf, and Bharat Humko Jaan Se Pyaara Hai. An English speech explored responsible patriotism, followed by a vibrant patriotic group dance and a soulful rendition of Where the Mind Is Without Fear, celebrating freedom, courage, and fearlessness. The programme concluded with Head Girl Rakshita’s Vote of Thanks.

          Spreading Smiles, Sharing Hope


          Students of Grades XI and XII brought smiles and support to the community on 1 August 2026. As part of the Community Service Outreach Program, they visited Second Innings, Empowering Humanity, and Don Bosco Ashalayam. Through games, songs, conversations, and a stationery donation drive, students shared joy and essential learning materials, strengthening empathy, gratitude, compassion, kindness, and social responsibility.

            Justice in Action: Class XI-D’s Moot Court Experience

             

            As part of the Experiential Learning Programme, Class XI-D participated in an engaging Moot Court on the constitutional debate, “Should educational qualification be mandatory for electoral candidates?” The activity recreated a courtroom with judges, advocates, petitioners, respondents, witnesses, and court staff. Through compelling arguments, students explored democratic principles, equality, justice, and citizens’ rights. The judges questioned both sides before delivering a balanced verdict. The activity provided students with practical insights into judicial procedures and constitutional values. It also enhanced their confidence, teamwork, communication, critical thinking, logical reasoning, and public-speaking skills, making learning meaningful, interactive, and enriching.

              Political Parties: From Concepts to Conversation

               

              Inayat Arora and Bhavika Tyagi of Class XII Humanities conducted an engaging presentation on the NCERT chapter “Political Parties” for the students of Class X. The session focused on helping students understand the key concepts, functions and significance of political parties in a democratic system. Through a well-structured presentation and relatable examples, the senior students connected the topic to everyday experiences, making the learning process more meaningful and interactive. 
              The session concluded with a question-and-answer round, where students actively participated, clarified their doubts and shared their understanding. The initiative encouraged peer learning, meaningful discussion and academic engagement, providing Class X students with a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the topic.

                NAV VAANI 2026: A Resounding Celebration of Youth Leadership

                 

                NAV VAANI 2026, the Intra-School Model Youth Parliament Conference, was organized on 3 August 2026, showcasing enthusiasm and intellectual vigor from students of Grades VI–XII. The dynamic event offered a distinguished platform for democratic dialogue, policy deliberation, and skill-building in public speaking, leadership, and collaboration. With four thoughtfully designed committees—Lok Sabha, NEXUS, SYNC, and Press Corps—delegates engaged in spirited debates on pressing contemporary issues, demonstrating analytical depth and creative problem-solving. The presence of esteemed alumni as mentors and judges added gravitas, inspiring participants with their guidance and constructive feedback. Overall, the conference reflected the school’s unwavering commitment to nurturing articulate, confident, and socially responsible citizens, making NAV VAANI 2026 a truly memorable and enriching experience.

                  Ayansh Bisht of Class IV-JAL has brought immense pride to the school by winning the Gold Medal at the Martial Art Games Federation of India 2026. The prestigious championship was held at Talkatora Stadium on 12th July 2026. Ayansh displayed exceptional discipline, determination, and outstanding martial arts skills throughout the competition, earning the top honour. His remarkable achievement reflects his dedication, perseverance, and sporting spirit, inspiring fellow students to pursue excellence with confidence and commitment.
