Vihan Chaturvedi, a student of Class VIII D, brought laurels to the school by securing the 3rd position in Poomsae at the 1st Bharat Cup Taekwondo Open Nationals 2026, held today. Displaying excellent discipline, technique, and dedication, he clinched a bronze medal in the national-level championship.

Yohan Jacob of Class 7E showcased remarkable skill and composure as he clinched victory with a birdie in the playoff hole title at the Feeder Tour Tournament held in Patiala. Competing in Category C of the Indian Golf Union’s North Zone Junior/Sub Junior Feeder 2026 Championship on January 24–25, 2026, Yohan emerged as the champion. The school proudly appreciates his achievement, celebrating his dedication, talent, and sportsmanship.

दिनांक 31 जनवरी  2026 को ओ.पी.जी. वर्ल्ड स्कूल की कक्षा आठवीं और नौवीं के विद्यार्थियों ने नई दिल्ली स्थित गांधी स्मृति का एक शैक्षिक भ्रमण किया, जो अत्यंत ज्ञानवर्धक और प्रेरणादायक रहा। इस यात्रा के दौरान छात्रों ने राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी की प्रारंभिक शिक्षा, दक्षिण अफ्रीका में पढ़ाई के दौरान सहे गए कठिन दिनों और वहां से लौटने के बाद उनके ऐतिहासिक भारत भ्रमण तथा विभिन्न स्वतंत्रता आंदोलनों के कारणों को गहराई से समझा। विद्यार्थियों ने जाना कि राजनीतिक इतिहास में इस स्थान का विशेष महत्व है क्योंकि बापू ने अपने जीवन के अंतिम 144 दिन यहीं बिताए थे। छात्रों ने गांधीजी का सादगी भरा कमरा और उनकी प्रसिद्ध पुस्तक 'सत्य के साथ मेरे प्रयोग' (My Experiments with Truth) देखते हुए 'मोहन' से 'महात्मा' बनने के उनके असाधारण सफर को महसूस किया। इसके अतिरिक्त, छात्रों को एक लघु वृत्तचित्र (डाक्यूमेंट्री) दिखाई गई, स्वतंत्रता संग्राम से जुड़े डॉल म्यूजियम का दौरा कराया गया और आधुनिक डिजिटल पुस्तकालय के बारे में जानकारी दी गई। भ्रमण का सबसे भावुक क्षण वह था जब छात्रों ने उस पवित्र स्थल के दर्शन किए जहाँ गांधीजी ने अपनी अंतिम साँस ली थी, जिससे यह यात्रा उनके लिए एक अविस्मरणीय अनुभव बन गई।

ओ.पी.जी. प्रांगण में गणतंत्र दिवस समारोह अत्यंत हर्षोल्लास और गरिमा के साथ मनाया गया। कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ एंकर्स द्वारा 1930 के लाहौर अधिवेशन और 26 जनवरी के ऐतिहासिक महत्व पर चर्चा से हुआ। इसके पश्चात, 'एक राष्ट्र का उदय' लघु नाटिका में विद्यार्थियों ने अंबेडकर, नेहरू और पटेल के संवादों के माध्यम से संविधान निर्माण की यात्रा को मंच पर जीवंत किया। 'प्रस्तावना: हमारी आत्मा का दर्पण' विषय पर हिंदी भाषण और तत्पश्चात पूरे सदन द्वारा किए गए सामूहिक प्रस्तावना वाचन ने माहौल को राष्ट्रभक्ति से भर दिया। सामाजिक विज्ञान विभाग ने संविधान को 'जीवंत दस्तावेज' बताते हुए प्रमुख संशोधनों पर अंग्रेजी में ज्ञानवर्धक प्रस्तुति दी। जहाँ एक ओर 'मैं भारत का संविधान बोल रहा हूँ' कविता ने कर्तव्यों का बोध कराया, वहीं 'हम कितने लोकतांत्रिक हैं' विषय पर हुए वाद-विवाद ने सभी को सोचने पर विवश किया। अंत में, राष्ट्रगान 'जन-गण-मन' के साथ इस प्रेरणादायक समारोह का समापन हुआ।

An engaging author session was held for Classes III and IV with renowned children’s author Ms. Varsha Seshan. She introduced her book Stinkypur Guardians, sharing insights into its theme and characters. Through a warm and interactive discussion, students explored what stories are, why they are told, and how imagination shapes them. The session concluded with lively activities where children composed poems and designed picture postcards, nurturing creativity and building confidence as budding writers.

Students of classes V to XI visited the International Book Fair held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The visit was both educational and enjoyable for the students. They explored a wide variety of books belonging to different genres such as fiction, non-fiction, science, literature, and children’s books. The students spent time reading books and observing the rich collection displayed at various stalls. The visit provided them with great exposure to the world of books and knowledge. It encouraged curiosity, enhanced their interest in reading, and helped them understand the value of books beyond their textbooks. Overall, the visit was a memorable and enriching learning experience.
