Labour Day Celebration: Honouring the Pillars of Our School

On the occasion of Labour Day, the school organised a special lunch for the support staff to appreciate their dedication and hard work. Members of the Student Council and Interact Club warmly served food and expressed heartfelt gratitude towards them. The activity created a joyful atmosphere and taught students important values such as respect, empathy, gratitude, and dignity of labour. The celebration strengthened the bond between students and support staff, making the occasion meaningful and memorable for everyone.

    Outstanding Achievement in Taekwondo

    Gantavya of Grade 6 Prithvi has brought great pride to our school through his recent achievements in Taekwondo. Competing in the Sub-Junior Boys Over 41 kg Kyorugi category, he demonstrated outstanding skill and determination across two major tournaments. He secured a Bronze Medal at the Indraprastha Cup on 19 April 2026, followed by a Gold Medal at the Jaguar Cup-2.0 Open National Championship on 26 April 2026. The school heartily congratulates Gantavya on this well-deserved success.

      Young Mathematician Brings Laurels to the School

      Archit Jain, a student of Class III Prithvi, has made the school proud by securing 9th Rank with a Merit Position in the Intermediate A / Level 4 category at the UCMAS Delhi 20th State Level Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Competition held on May 3, 2026. Demonstrating exceptional mental agility and accuracy, he secured the 9th Rank with a Merit Position in Intermediate A / Level 4 among over 2000 participants. The competition challenged students to solve 200 addition, subtraction, and multiplication sums within 8 minutes. 
      His achievement is a testament to his dedication, focus, and mathematical aptitude.

        OPG World School Celebrates Global Rhythms in Inter-House International Dance Competition

        On 9th May 2026, OPG World School organised an inter-house international dance competition showcasing talent, creativity, and teamwork. The event was judged by Ms. Isha Arora and Mr. Simon Massey. Each house represented a different culture—Red House portrayed South Africa, Green House presented Goa, Yellow House highlighted Russia, and Blue House celebrated Cuba. Students impressed the audience with graceful movements and vibrant costumes. Performances by Grades 7–9 and dance club members added excitement to the event. Yellow House won first place, followed by Green, Red, and Blue Houses respectively.

          A Symphony of Success: IHE Music 2026 at OPG World School

          On 09 May 2026, OPG World School, Dwarka, hosted IHE Music 2026, a vibrant celebration of talent and holistic education. Judged by esteemed alumni Anubha Bajaj and Rovan Dhar, the event featured diverse performances ranging from the School Band’s electrifying opening to a soulful solo by Sahaana. In the inter-house competition, Blue House clinched first place with a nostalgic rendition of "Photograph". The afternoon concluded with a powerful performance of "Let It Be" by the School Choir and the National Anthem.

            Spreading Kindness Through Chhachh Sewa

            On 12 May 2026, students of the Interact Club of OPG World School, in collaboration with Second Innings, organised a Chhachh Sewa Drive before the summer vacations. Students distributed chhachh packets to people affected by the intense heat and interacted with residents of an old age home. The activity promoted compassion, empathy, and respect towards the elderly.

              Reyan Bag Wins Silver Medal in Roller Skating Championship

              We are proud to announce that Reyan Bag of Class 4-Prithvi secured a Silver Medal in the 1 Lap Road Inline Category (Under-10) at the prestigious 53rd Open Delhi State Roller Skating Championships 2026. The event was held at GR International School from 9th to 11th May 2026.
              His achievement is a reflection of his hard work, determination, and passion for skating. The school congratulates Reyan on his outstanding performance and wishes him many more successes ahead.

                Ahana’s Triumph at Delhi State Skating Championship

                Aahana of Class III – Prithvi has brought laurels to OPG School by securing remarkable success at the 53rd Open Delhi State Championship, organized by the Delhi Skating Association at Bawana, Delhi, from 9th to 11th May 2026. She proudly clinched three medals: Gold in 1 Lap Road Race, Silver in 2 Lap Road Race, and Silver in Inline Rink 500+D. This milestone reflects her dedication and hard work. Congratulations to Ahana for her victory!

                  Educational Excursion to ISRO Bengaluru

                  From 5 May to 7 May 2026, 21 students participated in an enriching educational trip to Bengaluru. The visit included renowned institutions such as Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Indian Space Research Organisation, the ISKCON Temple Bengaluru, and the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum. Students explored aviation, space science, robotics, and wildlife conservation through interactive learning experiences. The opportunity to interact with ISRO scientists and witness satellite assembly in the clean room facility made the trip highly inspiring, informative, and unforgettable for all participants.

                      Inter-House Debate Competition
                      ओ.पी.जी.विद्यालय में 27 अप्रैल को एक बौद्धिक और उत्साहवर्धन वाद-विवाद प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन कक्षा नवीं व दसवीं के लिए किया गया, जिसका विषय 'लोकतंत्र में मीडिया स्वतंत्र है' रखा गया था। इस प्रतियोगिता में विद्यालय के चारों सदनों—लाल, नीले, पीले और हरे—ने अपनी सक्रिय भागीदारी निभाई। प्रत्येक सदन से दो-दो विद्यार्थियों ने पक्ष और विपक्ष में खड़े होकर अपनी शोध क्षमता और वाक्-चातुर्य का उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन किया। प्रतिभागियों ने न केवल ठोस तथ्यों के साथ अपने तर्क प्रस्तुत किए, बल्कि प्रश्न-उत्तर सत्र के दौरान एक-दूसरे के विचारों को तार्किक चुनौती भी दी।
                      इस प्रतियोगिता के सफल संचालन में निर्णायक मंडल की भूमिका प्रीति चिकारा मैम और मधु मैम ने निभाई, जिन्होंने विद्यार्थियों की प्रस्तुति और तर्क शक्ति का बारीकी से मूल्यांकन किया। गहन विचार-विमर्श के बाद, हरे सदन के अर्जुन (दसवीं ए) को उनकी शानदार वक्तृत्व कला के लिए प्रथम स्थान पर चुना गया, जबकि नीले सदन की काश्वी (दसवीं ए) ने अपने प्रभावशाली तर्कों के बल पर द्वितीय स्थान प्राप्त किया। विद्यालय के इस मंच ने विद्यार्थियों को सामयिक विषयों पर सोचने और अपनी बात स्पष्टता से रखने का बेहतरीन अवसर प्रदान किया।

                        Marketing Mavericks: Blending Marketing with Creativity

                         

                        The Commerce Department organised the IHE event 'Marketing Mavericks' on 30th April 2026, with all four houses participating enthusiastically. Each house fielded two teams from Grades XI and XII, who were tasked with critically analysing popular advertisements and presenting socially responsible remakes. Brands such as Zomato, Santoor, Kinder Joy, Volkswagen, McDonald's, and Pepsi came under the students' creative scrutiny. The competition showcased strong analytical thinking, creativity, and teamwork across the board. After a close competition, Blue House (XII) clinched first place, Yellow House (XII) finished second place, and Blue House (XI) secured third. It was a truly enriching learning experience for all.
