LitOdyssey 2025

On 19th August 2025, OPG World School hosted its annual literature festival, Lit Odyssey—a celebration of language, creativity, and ideas. Schools across the city participated, turning the campus into a vibrant hub of energy and thought. The festival opened with Kathputli Kahani-Kathani, where students narrated moral-rich tales through puppetry, followed by Dastaangoi, reviving oral storytelling traditions. The ODeSoc English Debate saw 18 speakers passionately argue whether governments should control AI, while Pages and Perspectives featured an engaging discussion on Amitav Ghosh’s The Nutmeg’s Curse. The Hindi Vaad-Vivaad added further vigor, concluding with prize distribution and enduring literary memories.

    Young Minds Explore Science at NSC Delhi

    On 30th July 2025, students of Classes VI and VII embarked on an educational trip to the National Science Centre, Delhi. Engaging with exhibits on physics, biology, and energy, they tackled guided questions that deepened their understanding. A highlight was the animated solar system film, sparking lively discussions and curiosity. The visit proved to be a dynamic extension of classroom learning, inspiring students through hands-on exploration and peer interaction.

      Aryan Goyal Shines at Skating Championship

      We are proud to announce that Aryan Goyal of Grade 2C has won the Gold Medal in the 2nd Open Roller Skating Championship. Competing in the under-9 inline skating category, Aryan showcased remarkable skill and determination. The event took place on 17th August at Kamal Public School, Vikaspuri. His outstanding performance brought great joy and excitement. Aryan’s achievement is truly commendable, and we are delighted to share this proud moment with you.

        Ethan Strikes Gold at Inter Club Taekwondo Championship

        Ethan James Mali of Class 3A made everyone proud by clinching the Gold Medal at the 8th Inter Club Taekwondo Championship 2025, organised by the Delhi Taekwondo Association on 17th August. Demonstrating outstanding skill, agility, and determination, Ethan defeated three strong opponents before triumphing in a thrilling final match. His achievement is a testament to his dedication and perseverance, bringing laurels to both his school and himself.

          Adrenaline and Achievement: Advik Strikes Gold in Taekwondo Championship

          Advik showcased exceptional skill and determination at the Taekwondo Championship 2025, organized by Jaguar Sports Club of Martial Arts on 17 August 2025. The events that day included Kyorugi Fresher G-4, Poomsae, and Demo Breaking, and he clinched the gold medal, emerging as a standout martial arts performer. His victory reflects intense dedication and discipline. The school community celebrates Advik’s remarkable achievement and wishes him continued success in future competitions. Bravo, Advik!

            Ekansh Kicks His Way to Silver!

            Ekansh Jangid of Class 9D brought pride to the school by securing 2nd place at the All India 12th Karate Championship 2025, held on 27th July at Shri Lalitamba Niketan Ashram, Haridwar. Organized by the Gyoju Ryu Karate Su Sports Federation, the event saw fierce competition. Ekansh earned a silver medal in the Kata/Kumite category (Age 13, Pool A), showcasing exceptional skill and determination. The school congratulates him on this remarkable achievement!

              Excellence in Scientific Discourse at SYMSCI 2025

              On 31st July 2025, OPG World School delegates Anuvaansh Batra (IX-D), Neeyal Ruhial (X-C), and Prakriti Chaturvedi (X-C) secured third place at the Melange 2025 Symposium (SYMSCI) with their thought-provoking presentation, “How Far Should We Go?” Seamlessly integrating scientific research with critical inquiry, the team addressed complex questions with clarity and composure, earning commendation for their analytical depth, articulation, and collaboration.

                Gantavya of Class 5-E Earns Green Belt in Taekwondo

                We are proud to announce that Gantavya of class V E has successfully qualified in the Colour Belt Promotion Test conducted by the Delhi Taekwondo Association and has been awarded the Green Belt on 28th June 2025.
                This achievement reflects his hard work, dedication, and commitment to mastering the discipline of Taekwondo. The school congratulates Gantavya on this milestone and wishes him continued success in his martial arts journey.

                  OPG World School Triumphs at St. Columba’s Mélange

                  The school congratulates the winners - Yati Nagpal , Archit Singh Chauhan , Agrim Tanwar and Kritya Choudhary from Class VII E for making a mark at the inter-school event Mélange, hosted by St. Columba’s School, by winning top honour in the event "Language Luminaries – AdLit Fusion", where they presented a compelling advertisement, a poster, and a slogan on a chosen product.

                    Future App Developers in Action – OPG Students Win Big!

                    We are delighted to share that Reyaansh Leekha and Chaitanya Mann of Class VIII have secured the Second Position at the St. Columba’s App O’ Nomous, an app development competition.

                    Participants were challenged to create functional apps based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Reyaansh and Chaitanya impressed the judges with their innovative concept, technical skills, and problem-solving approach.

                      Our Shining Star: Aahana Gupta Wins Bronze at National Skating Championship

                      We are delighted to share the incredible news that Aahana Gupta of Class 2E has brought immense pride to our school with her outstanding achievement! 

                      Aahana showcased her incredible talent and determination at the 10th Ranking Open National Speed Skating Championship 2025 held in Noida. Competing against some of the finest young skaters from across India, she secured a well-deserved Bronze Medal in the One Lap Inline Race (6-8 years category).

                      This outstanding achievement solidifies Aahana's position as a National Medalist. Her hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship are an inspiration to all of us.

                          A Glimpse into the World of Media: Educational Visit to Noida’s Leading News Studios

                          On 30th July 2025, our students embarked on an enriching educational excursion to Film City, visiting the prominent media houses—Times Now and Nav Bharat—in Noida. 
                          The experience offered an insightful behind-the-scenes look into the fast-paced and dynamic world of television journalism.

                          A highlight was witnessing live newsrooms in action. The students observed news anchors adeptly using teleprompters, demonstrating the precision, composure, and skill required during live broadcasts.
                          Students also toured various departments, including editing and sound studios, gaining a holistic view of how content is curated and transmitted to the public.

                          The excursion proved to be an inspiring journey, sparking curiosity about media careers and offering appreciation for news industry.

                            Achievement in Football – Enjogo Monsoon Cup 2025

                            Arsh Khatri of Class VI-B participated in the Enjogo Monsoon Cup 2025, organised by Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools on 27th July in Dwarka, Delhi. His outstanding performance helped his team win in the U-10 category. He was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for his dedication, skill, and contribution to the team’s success.                               OPG Filmmakers Shine Bright at Techvviz 2025

                              OPG World School secured the second position at the prestigious Techvviz competition hosted by Vasant Valley School, competing against the top Delhi schools. Class XII students Sumedha Vashisht, Naman Anand, Mukul Sharma, and Samikha Saini impressed with their short film Muted, blending technical brilliance with powerful storytelling.                                 Harshit Bansal Shines at 20th Asian Championship

                                We are proud to share that Harshit Bansal, a student of Class XII Commerce, brought immense pride to the school and the nation by representing India at the prestigious 20th Asian Championship.

                                Competing in the Junior Men category, Harshit delivered outstanding performances—finishing 4th in the 3000m Relay and securing 6th place in the 10,000m Points Race. His exceptional dedication, discipline, and sportsmanship were honoured with Merit Certificates from the Asian Federation, a testament to his growing excellence on the international stage.
