Performing Arts

We encourage our pupils to explore the world of performing arts realising the importance of “emotional intelligence”, developing a creative mind and fostering personalities and imaginations as children make their journey through school, to become happy and well rounded individuals. A student learns as much, if not more, outside the classroom as they do within and thus, follow a ‘Learning by Doing’ methodology  wherein the pupils are allowed to explore their innate talents and abilities through the means of various art forms.

Our music room boasts of a well-equipped Music Room where students are encouraged to try their hand at various instruments whilst singing songs ranging from classical India ragas to contemporary English Pop. The idea is to develop in them a love for music that they will carry with them for life.

The Dance studio allows our students the freedom to express themselves in an uninhibited manner. The students are introduced to various forms of dancing style; both Indian and International; and are at liberty to follow the style that appeals to them and also, innovate to develop their own language of dance.

Drama lets our students discover who they are, and who they could be, as artists and practitioners. They are encouraged to try things out themselves and make their own creative mistakes. Drama is introduced at an early stage with the inclusion of the internationally renowned Helen O’Grady programme which is followed by familiarizing the students with the medium of street plays.

Visual Arts

Art, Craft and Pottery provide a visual stimulation that brings to the fore the creativity and imagination of our students. The Art and Craft studios are areas where students are allowed to explore their own creativity while also being provided with access to a wide range of traditional and contemporary techniques.
