Delhi Literature Festival

 

On January 21, 2024, 22 students attended the Delhi Literature Festival at the India Habitat Centre, exploring diverse art forms and engaging with authors like Mukul Kumar and Nidhi Dalmia. In a compelling interview, Sharmistha Mukherjee, daughter of former President Pranab Mukherjee, discussed her inaugural work 'Pranab, My Father: A Daughter Remembers' with Shazia Ilmi. The narrative, marked by honesty and historical depth, drew from President Mukherjee's parliamentary diary, revealing facets of his persona beyond the public gaze. The sessions, including discussions on historical narratives and societal challenges, provided valuable insights, making this literary sojourn a rich and rewarding experience for the students.

    Class XI Humanities Explores Heritage Transport Museum

    A group of six students from Class XI Humanities, accompanied by a teacher, recently visited the Heritage Transport Museum on December 27, 2023. The museum, renowned for its captivating exhibits, offered a journey through transportation history. Students explored vintage automobiles, aircraft, and artifacts, gaining insights into technological evolution. Exhibits included a timeline of Indian transportation, vintage cars, a recreated street scene, and a historically inspired railway platform. The educational visit aimed to broaden horizons and deepen understanding of transportation's cultural significance. Students engaged with interactive displays, enhancing their historical perspectives.

      Tarun (Class XI) - Selected for 67th National Games

      With yet another display of his remarkable talent, Tarun- grade XI Commerce-achieved the commendable feat of being selected for the ongoing 67th National Games  at Patiala,Punjab, from 5th to 8th of January 2024. He was selected for U 19 boys category CBSE National Basketball Championship 2024.

        Eeshan Chhabra advances in Auto Olympiad

        Eeshaan Chhabra, a bright student from 9B at OPG World School, participated in this year's Automobile Olympiad and successfully advanced to the semi-finals or regional finals. The competition included a total of 178 participants divided into three groups based on their classes: 6-8, 9-10, and 11-12. Eeshaan's commendable achievement reflects his dedication and passion for the subject. His journey through the challenging stages of the competition showcases his impressive performance among peers in his age group.

          Excursion to the land of Tigers, Ranthambore

          The frosty morning of 20th December 2023 brought with it little footsteps of excitement, adventure, mystery and fun; as grade XI students of OPG World School came jet-set-ready for a thrilling excursion to the land of the Tigers, Ranthambore. The much-awaited trip included a tiger safari where the students were closest to nature in its unadulterated form, DastKar handicrafts store, the insightful Ranthambore museum and the fort which was an architectural marvel.
          The excursion was overall a reinforcing experience that augmented the learning experience of the students in all realms. It left the students enriched and fulfilled.
