Orientation Day
An Orientation program was organized for the parents of the new students in OPG on Saturday, 02 April 2011. It was aimed at aligning the ideas about education as a lifelong process. The orientation was designed to give the parents an insight in to the school's organization and environment. The program further familiarized the parents with the scholastic and co-scholastic educational facilities fostered in the institution. The parents got the opportunity to take a more comprehensive look at the school through a presentation by the school's Director. The school management also interacted with the parents at the High Tea thereafter, to build on the positive partnership between school and parents. |

Pre-primary activities
Early childhood education demands an enriched environment, intellectual stimulation and plenty of opportunity for socialization of the same age group. A stimulating play environment is provided for the tiny tots of pre-primary classes. The learning engagements stress on providing first-hand experiences to children in ways that would ensure development of skills related to the process of learning. Every activity focuses on the physical, intellectual, language, social and emotional development of every child. |
Special Assemblies
In OPG World School, the school assemblies are an integral part of the curriculum. They have their own significance and role in school life. They set the tone of a disciplined and organized day. The school assemblies bring all members of the school together, creating a sense of community. The students focus on one goal that is expressed through the assembly presentation, such as a religious festival, a day of national significance, a speech on an important personality, a staging on life skills and manners, or simply a display of the regular classroom learning. This helps in enhancing the holistic growth of every student thereby developing positive feelings, creative growth and a sense of belongingness. |
Summer Camp
Summer Camp was organized between 23 May to 23 June within the safe and secure environment of the school premises. The aim of the camp was to bring about growth and development among the young and also encourage teamwork, leadership qualities and unity among the youngsters.
It was a month long experience that was specially designed for 2 – 12 year olds. The summer program instilled confidence and widened perspective of thought and behaviour amongst children.
Children experienced closeness and self-reliance by engaging in the various Activity Zones.
The camp proved to be a huge success and children from various other schools thronged to be a part of the camp. |
